Cooper James at 7 Months Old
All About Cooper:
Facts:
- He loves to babble- says Ma-Ma all the time- and ba-ba....we are working on Da-Da but he's not too interested yet :) He also says the "H" sound all the time...not sure- maybe trying to say hi?? He says "Hhhh-hhhh-hhhh"
- He loves to play with his toys...he reaches for them and if you hand him one, he will reach out for it and grab it.
- He sleeps through the night- from about 7:30 pm until 7:00 am and takes 2 naps from 9-11 am and around 2-5 pm (he loves his sleep). And he almost always sleeps on his tummy- he loves it!
- He sleeps in a sleep sack.
- He is wearing 3-6 Month (Gap/Gymboree) or 6 Month (Carter's) clothes ...going to transition into 6-12 Months for the Fall. Wears Size 2 diaper.
- He drinks 6 ounce bottles (5 of them a day) and we are about to move up to 7 ounces.
- He loves every baby food we have tried: sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, green beans and peas! We weren't sure how he would do with the green veggies but he loves them! Fruit will be next :) Can't wait!
- He loves his rice cereal- he has it with dinner only for now. He eats Gerber's Organic Brown Rice Cereal.
- He knows when he sees his bottle now that it's time to eat- he starts squirming and making noise and reaching for it.
- He likes to play with the "Drop-In" bag while eating- he pushes the bottom of it- it's funny.
- He loves to mimick us...if we tap the wall, then he will tap the wall, etc.
- He loves to scratch things with his finger nails- ie: couch cushions, walls, crib bumper
- He is almost a master at sitting on his own. He has been learning the past month and has gotten a lot more stable in the last week or so but still falls over from time to time.
- He is basically crawling, or "scooting" right now- he moves around all over- forwards and backwards- but still learning. He's not into everything quite yet- we still have time :) But he rolls every which way, turns all around on his tummy, gets all the way up on all fours, puts his butt in the air, scootches on his tummy and his face- however he can get there, he will- he is determined!!
- He is VERY ticklish!! Especially on his inner thighs- giggles non stop!
- He is a very nosey little boy. Always looking around at everything and everyone....
- He is a very content and happy baby- very easy going and almost always smiling!
- He has the cutest dimples, sweetest heart, bluest eyes, softest skin and most adorable laugh- and he is ALL OURS! We are just in HEAVEN!!
Likes (or loves)-
- He loves to giggle and smiles non-stop.
- He loves to cross his feet, when he's eating, laying down, in his car seat, high chair- ANYWHERE- it's the cutest!
- He loves kisses and snuggles.
- He loves to play airplane- also loves when you are holding him and "pretend" to drop him- he loves it!
- He loves to play with his piggies...sucks on them too :) He can get them all the way in his mouth now.
- He loves to watch Jetta (our doggie) walk by- always makes him laugh and he "talks" to her.
- He loves his Sophie giraffe.
- He loves strolling and riding in the car.
- He loves when Mommy sings and dances.
- He loves when you move his arms and legs around.
- He loves to clap his feet together.
- He loves watching tv- especially Baby Einstein.
- He loves bathtime! Loves playing with his cups and duck in the bath (he's still in the baby bath in the sink)
- He loves playing with the lotion bottle- he scoots anywhere to get it.
- He loves his Jumperoo and is finally learning to bounce!!
- He loves to look in the mirror.
- He loves playing peek-a-boo.
- He loves to play with Pop!
- He loves to be outside.
- He loves other babies!
- He loves to sit in his new high chair- he feels like a King I think!! He loves to bang his toys on the tray.
- He loves his Daddy but is definitely a Momma's boy :)
- He LOVES LOVES LOVES his binkie- especially at nap and sleep time.
- He loves the fan blowing on him. and when he is being changed, he loves when you use the diaper to blow wind on his hiney to dry him off- BIG smiles.
Dislikes-
- He gets very upset if you take his bottle away while he's drinking it- he likes to hear the "squeak" at the end (Drop-in's) when it's all finished- he knows that means it's all gone - it's funny.
- He doesn't like cold water (ie: the freezing ocean on his piggies).

Cooper is our everything. He has truly stolen our heart and shown us a love we never knew existed! These 7 months have been the best of our lives and we can't wait for many many more to come!!
