Cooper at 9 Months Old!!!

All About Cooper:

Fun Facts:

• He is constantly saying "Ma-ma" and "Da-da" ALL THE TIME! It's the best! When he wakes up, he sits in his crib saying Ma-ma-ma then Da-da-da...he goes from one to the other and back again- it's so cute! He doesn't say much else at the moment...sometimes he says "Ba-ba."
• He loves playing....his "playroom" is in the living room...his favorite toys at the moment are:
• Fisher Price Blocks- he loves to fill up the bucket and dump it out and bang the blocks together
• Mickey Mouse push/ride-on toy- he can't push it or ride on it yet...but he sits and plays with the buttons and music, etc- he LOVES it!!
• Stacking rings- he loves to take them off and chew on them or bang them together
• Books
• The farm and animals at Noni's house
• He still sleeps through the night and has the same schedule basically- sleeps from about 7:30 pm until 7:00 am and takes 2 naps from 9-11 am and around 2:30-4:30 pm (he loves his sleep). And he almost always sleeps on his tummy- he loves it! 
• He does not like to be woken up- he would much rather wake up on his own- he is much happier that way too- on Wednesdays when I take him to Noni's on my way to work, I have to wake him. It takes a while...he keeps rolling over and going back to sleep! :) Then I finally pick him up and he's grumpy and still half asleep while I change his diaper.
• He still sleeps in a sleep sack- DR said to wait until he is at least 1 to give him a blanket in his crib, so guess we will wait.
• He is wearing 6-12 Month (Gap/Gymboree) or 9 Month (Carter's) clothes. Wears Size 3 diaper- he started leaking through at night about a month ago so we knew it was time for the bigger size!
• He drinks 5 bottles a day- 3 that are 6 ounces and 2 that are 4 ounces.
• He still loves most all baby food-his fave are carrots, sweet potatoes, apples and cherries, and pears. We still have yet to try bananas- I am scared they will clog him up! Hah...we will try them soon!
• He still loves his rice cereal- he has it with dinner and he has Oatmeal with breakfast- he loves that too!
• He has definitely mastered sitting on his own- he is a pro! And he goes from sitting to crawling and vice versa.
• He puts his arms up when you go to pick him up- it just melts your heart!
• He crawls ALL OVER now! He is into everything...it's cute! But lots of work! He pulls up on walls, tables, and people! He loves to crawl over to us and pull up on our legs...and the coffee table is his favorite spot...he pulls up and bangs his hands on it. 
• Bath time is his fave time of the day- he loves to play with his cups and duck and sea creatures- he splashes like crazy...he pulls up and turns himself all the way around...almost time to get rid of "baby" bath and just put him in the actual bath!
• He just started sitting up in his crib...either when we put him in, he will sit up for while then fall asleep, or when he wakes up, he sits up and plays and waits for us
• Just last night, he mastered pulling himself up in his crib! He stands tall and is SO PROUD!! We are in trouble....definitely moving the mattress down lower!
• He still can't hold his bottle on his own- he can but doesn't know how to tip it up yet so he just gets air--plus, we love to hold it for him still!
• His hair is finally coming in....he was basically a baldy all this time. It's definitely coming in more in the back than the front - and it's very light in color!
• He has had a cold/cough and pink eye A LOT since starting daycare 3 months ago...UGH! Owell- he is building his immune system...and we know Dr. Curley very well! :)
• He babbles all the time- esp in the car...it's the cutest!
• He doesn't seem to have any fears...he crawls all over and pulls up anywhere- he tries to crawl "through" the walls- bumps his head hard and doesn't even flinch- I know bumps and bruises are right around the corner!
• He has TWO bottom teeth...they are growing tall- you can finally see them without "trying" and they are showing up in pictures now! They are SO CUTE!

Likes (or loves)-

• He LOVES bath time...right as we bring him in the bathroom, he smiles, kicks his legs and gets all excited!
• He loves to crawl over to our mirrored wall in the dining room and "talk" to himself and give himself kisses!  
• He still loves to be outside- esp now that it's getting cooler out.
• He loves other kids- he loves to watch cousins Mackenzie and Malori- he just watches them and laughs 
• He still LOVES his binkie- definitely going to be hard when it's time to take it away....
• He LOVES when we dip his binkie in our ice water and then give it to him- it's nice and cold on his gums and he gets to taste a little water (since we are waiting to give him water till he's 1 or so as DR says)- it's his new trick- he takes it out after the cold water wears off and hands it back for us to do it again!

Dislikes-

• He is not a fan of laying on his changing table at the moment- right as you lay him down, he gets upset- we give him a lotion bottle or small medicine box of some sort to play with while getting changed.
• When he just wants to be held, if you put him down to play, he will cry and crawl over to where you are and put his arms up to be picked up.
• He doesn't like trying on many different outfits (as Mommy does!)- he likes to just get dressed and that's it!
