10 Months!!

*All About Mr. Cooper:*

(Nicknames: Coop, Monkey, Bruiser, Coopie)

Fun Facts:

• He waves bye-bye...it's THE BEST! We just love it...he waves his arm up and down...and he is so proud of himself! Sometimes he gets so carried away and keeps waving and waving...he will do it for like 2 minutes straight! And sometimes when he waves, he SAYS bye-bye too!
• He also CLAPS!! He gets so excited...and so does Mommy and Daddy!
• And he DANCES! Anytime he hears any type of music, he totally busts out dancing...he moves his little body like a pro! It's the cutest thing ever! Even in the mall, when he hears music, he starts busting out dance moves in his stroller...haha!!
• He is talking NON-STOP! He loves making noise...he says Ma-Ma, Da-Da, Ba-Ba, Ga-Ga, and JETTA! That is his newest word...it's crazy since it's not common...Jetta is our doggie :) He says her name and looks at her and even points at her sometimes...he knows just who she is!
• His new thing is pointing- with his index finger- it's too cute!
• He still sleeps through the night (even through teething...GREAT BABY) and has the same schedule basically- sleeps from about 7:30 pm until 7:00 am (sometimes it's 7:30 am and he's still sound asleep so we wake him) and takes 2 naps from around 9-11 am and around 2:30-4:30 pm (he loves his sleep). He still sleeps on his tummy most of the time but he has started sleeping on his side more and more...which helps when he is at school since it's the law that they can't let them sleep on their tummy so they always have to flip him over.
• He still sleeps in a sleep sack- we just started giving him a blankie in his crib too...it's been CHILLY! He also sleeps with "Ellie," his monkey and his seahorse :) And his sleep sheep is strapped onto his crib...he has lots of friends :)
• He likes to throw things.....that's his big thing these days! He throws all his toys off his high chair, throws his seahorse or binkie out of his crib, throws anything he's playing with while being changed...and he waits for you to get it and give it back to him- then just just tosses it again...it's a game to him :) Funny guy....
• He is still wearing 6-12 Month (Gap/Gymboree) or 9 Month (Carter's) clothes. Still wears Size 3 diapers.
• He drinks 5 bottles a day still- 3 that are 6 ounces and 2 that are 4 ounces....the plan this month is to try to cut one of them out....we need to end up getting down to 3 soon...breakfast, lunch and dinner. We'll see how that goes!
• We just started "lunch" too- he has a fruit (baby food) around 12 noon...he loves it! And we give him a few Puffs too to munch on.
• We ended up trying bananas...and he loves em! But there isn't much he doesn't love....
• We also started MEAT...pureed of course....we tried turkey and chicken and beef and he eats them all...
• He is now into EVERYTHING! He crawls into the kitchen and opens and closes every cabinet and drawer. He is literally the FASTEST crawler...really- he is quick! He loves to crawl over to the outlets too and try and pull the outlet plugs out...naughty naughty :)
• So we installed the cabinet latches so he can no longer get into everything....and we put baby gates up to keep him in the "playroom" ie: living room where all his toys are.
• He still loves bath time with Daddy....he is still in his blue bath in the big bath...I think this month we will move him into the bath with no baby tub....
• He holds his bottle ALL BY HIMSELF! Such a big boy...he loves it too- right as we lay him down and put his bib on, he grabs it and shoves it in his mouth!
• Due to the large amount of ear infections he has had, Dr Curley said he may need tubes...he is going next week to a specialist (Ear, Nose and Throat DR) and we will see what he says...if he does, we are hoping this will do the trick and he won't be sick as often!
• We installed his new "big boy" car seat he got from Grandaddy and LanLan- he loves it! He looks like a King...it's like a recliner...haha- very comfy! And lots of room to grow!
• He is still a bruiser...he crawls "thru" and over anything...if you put your leg out to block him, he just goes right over it...he doesn't even care...he has one thing on his mind and if he wants to get somewhere, he gets there! Haha
• His 2 bottom teeth are fully poking out and growing pretty tall, and his top 2 front teeth are coming in...they have cut through the gums but are just little slivers right now....soon the gummy grins will be no more :(

Likes (or loves)-

• He LOVES bath time...right as we bring him in the bathroom, he smiles, kicks his legs and gets all excited!
• He loves other kids- he loves to watch cousins Mackenzie and Malori- he just watches them and laughs...and even strangers- kids at the mall make him laugh
• He still LOVES his binkie- definitely going to be hard when it's time to take it away....
• He loves snack time...loves Puffs, Cheerios and his baby cookies that turn into mush- VERY MESSY! He sees them and spits his binkie out and gets all excited making noises and licking his lips!
• He still LOVES LOVES LOVES Yo Gabba Gabba and his Baby Einstein movies....he goes crazy when Yo Gabba Gabba comes on...he knows the beginning when DJ Lance walks in with his boom-box, and when he hears his footsteps, he gets so excited!

Dislikes-

• He still hates being put on the changing table....he cries the second we lay him down but we just give him something to distract him, or sing a song, anything!
• He doesn't like to have his diaper changed when on the floor or a bed either- he tries to flip over and crawl away....which is normal at this age I guess
• He doesn't like it if anyone takes his bottle away from him! He is in LOVE with his bottle...not sure how well moving him to a cup soon will go...hehe
