The B Family: 12 Months=1 YEAR!!!

**All About Mr. Cooper**

Nicknames: Coop, Speedy, Monkey, Bubba, Cooper J

Fun Facts:

He still loves to point, wave and clap...he waves bye bye all the time when he is done doing something- it's so cute!
He still loves music and dances all the time- my parents say it's like he has music inside of him all the time :)
He says Ma-Ma, Da-Da, Ba-ba, Bye-bye, Hi, and if you ask "what does the sheep say," he says "Baaaaa."
We stopped using the "baby" bath and put him in the big tub all by himself towards the end of the month- figured it was time...at 1st he HATED it- he was shaking and crying non stop- he was so scared because there was nothing around him and it was such a big space- and he didn't like nothing under him...after a few tries, he realized it was FUN and now he LOVES it!! We got an Elmo non slip mat that he sits on- he loves it :)
He still sleeps through the night and has the same daily routine...2 2hour or so naps a day and he still sleeps in a sleep sack...but he has been sleeping in till 8 or 8:30 some mornings!
He is still wearing 6-12 Month (Gap/Gymboree) or 9 Month (Carter's) clothes-some 12 Month as well. Still wears Size 3 diapers- they fit great. I think he'll be wearing 12-18 Months this summer...
Walks with his walker up and down the hallway...but still doesn't know how to turn it on his own so he crashed into walls or anything in his way and then grunts until someone helps him.
He likes to share our water out of our glass...with or without a straw...he's getting good at it! He likes the cold on his lips...and he likes his binky dipped in it :)
He climbs up Noni and Pop's stairs...all the way to the top!
He tried a little bit of "real" food to see what he thought- he had bananas (liked them but not a fan of picking them up- too slimy and slippery) and he had some spaghetti cut up real tiny when we went to Bucca Di Beppo for Doug's B-day- he loved it!
He got a sinus infection this month (had no idea babies could get them) and was given Amoxicillin to fix him....it worked like a charm.
We took him to the Railroad Park and he swung in the swing for the 1st time...he loved it- but he held on for dear life- you could tell he was a little scared :)
He's very close to walking- he holds onto something with 1 hand and stands there looking at us like he's thinking about letting go but then he drops to his knees and crawls away
He had his 1st surgery this month- Mr. Cooper got tubes in his ears...he had 7 or so ear infections in like 4 months, so his Pediatrician sent him to a specialist (ENT) - He took 1 look in his ears and said he was a prime candidate for tubes...so surgery it was... and he did GREAT! Everything has been going well since he got them put in....
Cooper had his 1st Valentine's Day :)
We started whole milk right before his birthday- just a few ounces added to his formula to see what he thought- he didn't even notice so now we are doing half and half! Hopefully we will be moved onto milk only pretty soon---can't wait to save on not having to buy formula!!!

Likes (or loves):

Bathtime...loves to splash
His binkies...he loves to have 2 or 3 at a time- 1 in his mouth and 1 or 2 in his hands
Mommy and Daddy- smiles so big when he sees us
Walking with his walker
Playing at the coffee table...he walks around and around and bangs his toys on it- it's the perfect size for him
Playing with his ball popper...he knows how to push the little guy to make the air blow
BOOKS!! He loves to read and turn the pages and pull back the flaps
He likes to pull everything out of his baskets of toys
Loves car rides...he babbles and "sings"- soon we can turn him around to face us!
YO GABBA GABBA!
His farm animal puzzle- he likes if you make the noise of each animal
He tried icecream for the 1st time and loves it!

Dislikes:

He still hates being put on the changing table....he cries the second we lay him down but we just give him something to distract him, or sing a song, anything!
He doesn't like when you take anything away from him--especially a snack/treat :)
He is not a fan of being woken up- he likes to sleep sleep sleep! Definitely like his Daddy...
